I don't think this quite qualifies as a statue or monument... but maybe it does.
The bridge over Cook's Chasm. It may also contribute to the echoing boom of when the tide waves rush into the chasm. The land rises sharply around the cut on the landward side of this bridge - which serves to deepen and widen the chasm, since its floor stays essentially level. |
